Dear Colleague,
As we all know from the heart-breaking news in Texas and Louisiana this week, deadly Hurricane Harvey has claimed dozens of lives and left thousands homeless and in need of rescue. Now the long road to recovery begins. In this vein, I ask for your help in support of the National Head Start Association's effort to assist our Head Start children, families, and their communities in these battered states.
Please join the Michigan Head Start Association by contributing to the NHSA's Disaster Relief Fund which assists Head Start and Early Head Start programs who become victims of natural disasters. This rebuilding will take months, if not years. But our work will start today!
If you are able, please make a donation to the NHSA Disaster Relief Fund. The fund is intended to normalize a program's operations, and help families, staff, and children get back on their feet. Funds are disbursed based on need and are used for expenditures that cannot be reimbursed through other relief programs.
What we all love most about Head Start is how we never seem to fail each other in times of need. We unite without question and take action when called upon. Together, let us do everything we can to support our Head Start family.
In partnership,
Robin J. Bozek,
Executive Director
Michigan Head Start Association
